It’s the Great Pink Pumpkin Charlie Brown! We kick off our 12th annual Gateway To The Cure on October 1 to raise money through various events for the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund. This year we are back with our Pumpkins for Pink event & we need you !Get creative and make your Pink Pumpkin & take to Weis Market Customer Service Desk in Thurmont on Friday, October 9, Saturday, October 10, or Sunday, October12.
Voting begins Monday, October 13. Pumpkins for Pink will be displayed near the bread and the last self-checkout. All votes or $1.00 and you may purchase as many tickets as you want. All tickets purchased must be cash and are purchased from a front end associate.
You may use plastic pumpkins or real pumpkins.
Thanks to you and your generosity, the Town of Thurmont has been able to donate $187,900.00 to The Hurwitz Brest Cancer Fund in the last 11 years via all Gateway To The Cure events. Thank you for making a difference right here in Frederick County for testing, treatment, trial drugs, and care.
